Community Healthcare in "Little Tibet"
Dear CAN friends,
I have been in Dharamsala, aka "Little Tibet", in the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains of Northern India for the past 6 days.
I'm Still Here Damnit!
In the words of my favorite comedian Sandra Bernhard, "I'm still here, damnit." I say this more to remind myself than anyone else--athough I have fallen off CAN. After practicing for a decade, I debated this summer, heavily, as to whether or not to practice any longer.

I'm taking a vacation with my family. We're going to India for a month - and not a moment too soon with a blast of Arctic air and Seattle's famous liquid sunshine pelting the windows as I type. It's been a long time since I've taken a month off, and I've never taken that length of time without suspending all income streams for the duration.

Big 3 Go to Washington
As I watched with amusement the Big 3 go with suitably chastised bowed heads back to Washington today with a plan as to why" we the people " should give them 34 billion to get their financial houses in order a few similarities with the institutions in this country that train acupuncturists struck me .
