Hello! We, here at Working Class Acupuncture, have finally (4 months into the year) gotten a fairly good grasp of our training schedule for the rest of 2008.  In some locations, we are waiting for details, but everything is in process, so email me with your interests and I will get you the registration packet ASAP.Thanks for the interest in Community Acupuncture and we look forward to seeing you (somewhere!) soon.

Website Improvements

Here's the latest status on some recent website improvements, more on the way.

Search function: The website search feature has been improved. If you are looking for anything specific in the forums, log in, then enter the key word(s) in the search field and click the button. You should now be able to find all old posts and attachments prior to the website upgrade.

LOC, All Clinic Listings, and Membership Directory: Check out the website user guide in the Intro to Can forums for more info on how to use these features. You can now maintain your clinic listing and membership info easier through your membership Profile.

Captcha: Should be fixed now. A few users reported being stuck in a spam Captcha loop when trying to post comments. To avoid Captcha, please log in to the site first, before posting comments on public forums or the blog.

Hello Comrades of Working Class Acupuncture –

We hope this finds you well.  All is well in Portland and we are excited to announce a “new arrival” to our bookshelves/DVD players:

Website Maintenance

The CAN website is in process of being upgraded. You will notice a newer look and added functionality. I'll post a user guide soon to highlight some of the changes.  Hope you like it! Please email me at webmaster@communityacupuncturenetwork.org if you encounter any problems or have any questions.

Couple things to note during the upgrade:

-If you haven't logged in since the recent upgrade CAN members will be required to request a new password.

- the Locate A Clinic and Member Directory will be offline until the week 2/25 while they are being upgraded.

- Forum attachments are currently offline. They should be available again the week 2/25.

Maintenance planned 2/13

On Wednesday afternoon, February 13, the website is scheduled to be down for a system upgrade.

The maintenance requires that the forums will be temporarily unavailable. Once the upgrade is complete CAN members will be required to reset their passwords. We'll send out additional information via email about the upgrade shortly after the maintenance window.

Stay tuned...

This is a compilation from the March and April conferences. For folks who haven't been to one of the WCA conferences, one of the sessions includes real patients talking about themselves, their health, what they think of acupuncture, and stuff like that. The challenge at the end was written by Lisa.

Enjoy.

Big thanks to Colleen, Aculibrarian, for providing the Census information; and to Thomas and Sarah, the filmmakers.

If any students are reading this, please distribute this link to other students!

And a note: the "CAN" logo at the end of the video is not CAN's official logo -- it was a draft that the filmmakers got from our graphic designer, who was working on it at the time.
